Henry Hingst, aged 36, Grandview farmer, was drowned near Port Louisa late Sunday night. The tragedy occurred at 11 o'clock. Cries for help were heard from the man. but his friends were unable to go to his rescue because of the intense darkness. As a result of the tragedy Mrs. Hingst is reported to be prostrated. The widow and two children, Edith and Nora, respectively aged two and four years survive. He is also mourned by two brothers, Albert Hingst of Burlington, George Hingst of Grandview, Mrs. Albert Rowe of Grandview and a sister in Burlington. After a two day search the body was found in a deep pool of water. The find was made by his brother, George Hingst, of Letts. The authorities are satisfied that the death was accidental. The remains were taken to the undertaking parlors of county coroner, J. H. Collins, of Letts.
