Alice Wilson Stelpflug. Alice Prosser Wilson was born at Fargo, North Dakota, September 14, 1897. At the age of six months she came with her parents to this city and made this her home until a few years ago when Mr. and Mrs. Wilson moved to Muscatine. She attended the Columbus Junction school and graduated with honor in the class of 1917. Later she attended Cornell college at Mt. Vernon and the Iowa State Teachers college, at Cedar Falls. She taught the Indian Creek school in Concord. Then in the Columbus Junction grade school, then at Henderson and then at Pocahontas where she met Mr. N. W. Stelpflug, to whom she was united in marriage, February 12th, 1923.

About two months ago she became ill and despite the best medical attention she grew weaker until the end came, Thursday morning, June 28, 1923. In young womanhood she united with the Reformed church. She is survived by her husband, N. W. Stelpflug of Pocahontas, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilson, of Muscatine, and her aged grandmother, Mrs. Alma Ellis, of this city. The body was brought to this city Friday morning and taken to the home of her grandmother. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Reformed church conducted by Rev. W. H. Dillon. Interment was in the cemetery at Columbus City.
