Letts- Mr. George Bailey passed away at his home in Letts Saturday morning at 7 o'clock. Mr. Bailey had been in poor health for more than a year. He had recently received treatments at the Clockner hospital, Colorado Springs, Colo. and at the University hospital at Iowa City. Mr. Bailey was 68 years old. He had been in the service of the Rock Island railway Company since he was 15 years old. Mr. Bailey was a member of the M. E. church and the I. O. O. F lodge also the Woodman and Royal Neighbor lodges. He leaves his second wife and three daughters, two sons, also three step sons and one step daughter. Funeral services were conducted from the M. E. church Monday afternoon. Rev. R. L. LaMott preached the sermon. The I. O. O. F. lodge had charge of the services at the grave.
