Ralph E. Zimmerman, a respected resident of the Grandview community, died at nine o'clock Monday evening at the Hershey hospital at Muscatine, of a tumor which he had been afflicted for many months at the age of 46 years, 5 months and 1 day. He was born in Grandview where he grew to manhood and was married to Miss Lydia Dietrich, of that community. Later they moved on a farm where they resided until the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and four daughters, Mildred, Mona, Freda and Marian, at home and by his mother, Mrs. M. A. Zimmerman and two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Greene, of Columbus City and Mrs. Chas. Beil, of near Grandview and five brothers, Carr, Charles, Bert, of Grandview; George, of Des Moines and Dallas, of Washington, Iowa. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Grandview.
