Mary Ethel Myers, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Carter of Columbus City, was born in Columbus City, March 28th, 1888 and departed from this life, Monday, April 9th, aged 35 years, and 12 days. She leaves to mourn her death her husband and one son, Charles, her parents at Columbus City, two brothers, Noah of Cedar Rapids and Charles, of Davenport and one sister, Mrs. Charles Lambert, of Brighton. She is also survived by her aunt, Mrs. D. S. Buffington, of Columbus City and many relatives and friends. Funeral service were held Wednesday at the Methodist church in Columbus City conducted by Rev. R. W. Jamieson. Interment in the Columbus City cemetery.
