Wapello – Howard Hank, 55, life long resident of Louisa county, died at his home in Wapello Monday (October 13, 1947), at 12:15 p.m. after an illness of more than seven years. He was born in Louisa county June 14, 1892, the son of John F. and Martha Huffman Hank and engaged in farming until his health failed. He married Ethel Stott who with their only son, Derald Hank, survives.
Deceased is also survived by three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Chet Walker, Mrs. James Hartsock, Wapello, Mrs. Harry Butcher, Muscatine; Will Hank, of Monmouth, Ill; John Hank, of Davenport, and Arthur Hank, of Muscatine.
The body is at the Dudgeon funeral home where services will be held Wednesday afternoon, at 2 o’clock, in charge of the Rev. H. C. Druse, with burial in the Harrison cemetery.
