Paul E. Thomas aged 8 years passed away at the Iowa Methodist hospital at Des Moines, Sunday evening at 10:25. He is the third child of Fred E. Thomas who has succumbed to infectious diarrhea within the past ten days. Clara E. Thomas age four years passed away at the home of her grandmother in Des Moines Friday evening, July 27. On the 28th of July the two remaining children and also their three year old cousin, Earl Hesser, were taken to the Methodist hospital under the direction of Dr. M. L. Turner. On Wednesday August 1st little Pauline Thomas aged 6 years passed away. Little Earl Hesser is still in the hospital and indications are that he will recover. The children are survived by their father, Fred E. Thomas, of Des Moines. The Mother, Hazel A. Thomas, having passed away April 29, 1916. They leave to mourn their loss their father, the grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Grandmother Briggs. The father, Fred Thomas and brother Bert, accompanied the remains to this city. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the U. B. church at Columbus City conducted by Rev. R. J. Allred.
