Letts, Aug. 1 - John Curtis, who passed away at the Bellevue hospital, Friday, was laid to rest in the Grandview cemetery Sunday afternoon following the service held in the M. E church. Rev. Philips, his pastor conduced the funeral service assisted by Rev. Boyd, of the U. B church. He was 72 years of age and left to mourn his death his wife, one son oral Curtis of Muscatine, two daughters, Mrs. Walter Ingraham, of Letts and Mrs. Bert Thompson, of Grandview, four sister, Mrs. Ollie Parsons and Mrs. Ella Furnas of Letts, Mrs. Minnie Hill, of Cone and Mrs. Mary Hutchison, Kansas, also two brothers, Abner of Bayard, Iowa and Samuel, of Blue Mound, Kansas.
