A telegram was received here Friday evening announcing the death of Mrs. George Brackett at the home of her son, Glenn, in Seattle, Washington, at four o'clock, following an illness of three months which succeeded an operation. Her brother, Joseph Arington of this city who had gone to Seattle June 10 will accompany the remains to this city arriving here Wednesday evening The funeral will be held this Thursday afternoon at the home of her sister, Miss Fredonia Arington at two o'clock conducted by Rev. E. C. Brooks. Interment in the Columbus City cemetery.

Martha Arington was born in Fredonia forty-nine years ago and made her home in this vicinity until twelve years ago she moved with her husband and family to Seattle. Mr. Brackett died last November. She is survived by two brothers, J. C. and J. B. Arington of this city and three sisters, Mrs. Sam Harmon, Miss Fredonia Arington, of this city, and Mrs. Lizzie Owen, of Wapello. and one son, Glenn of Seattle. One son, Guy, preceded her in death.
