Mrs. E. W. Oliver, mother of Mrs. F. M. Molsberry, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. M. Molsberry, Tuesday evening, June 5, 1917, as a result of a fall sustained several weeks ago and the complications attendant upon advancing age. Mary J. Walker was born in Pendleton county, Kentucky, May 6, 1841. In 1856 she moved with her parents to Ohio and the same years they moved to Warsaw, Illinois, where she grew to womanhood. On the 18th of October at Breckenridge, Illinois, she was united in marriage to E. W. Oliver, who died in Oklahoma City in 1913. They came to Columbus Junction in 1881 where Mr. Oliver engaged successfully in photography. In 1889 they moved to Oklahoma which state was their home until Mr. Oliver's death.

Since then Mrs. Oliver has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Molsberry. Mrs. Oliver became a member of the Christian church at the age of 12 years and later united with the Methodist Episcopal church, retaining her membership at the time of her death. She is survived by two sons, W. M. Oliver, of Joplin, Missouri and E. W. Oliver, of Davenport and one daughter Mrs. Cora Molsberry, of this city. Three children preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at ten o'clock at the home of her daughter, conducted by E. C. Brooks. Interment in the Columbus City cemetery.
