Joseph Owen, a well known resident of the Welsh Neighborhood, residing about six miles west of this city on the White Way, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon, June 5, 1917. Mr. Owen was born in Wales, June 1, 1850 and came to Louisa county 38 years ago. He was frugal and industrious and made many friends. He is survived by his wife and four sons, William, of Lyan, California, Thomas, of Los Angeles, California, John and David at home and two daughters, Mrs. James Edwards and Mrs. Thomas Jones, of the Welsh Neighborhood. The funeral will be held at his home at two o'clock Friday afternoon with interment in the Cambrian cemetery.
