Sarah Anne Chamberlain was born November 8, 1839, in Grandview, Louisa county, Iowa and died November 9, 1916, at her home in Grandview, age 77 years, 1 day. She lived on a strip of land her father bought when he first came to Iowa in the year 1836, until her husband H. B. Chamberlain died and then she moved to Grandview, which was in the year 1906. Mrs. Chamberlain has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church ever since she was married. The funeral services were conducted by the pastor of her church, Rev. Emil B. Frye and interment was made in the Grandview cemetery.
