Mrs. Diana Sheridan, a well known and highly esteemed resident of this community for more than forty years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. May DeTray at Aurora, Illinois, July 13, 1916. Mrs. Sheridan was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, January 6, 1831 and at the time of her death she was 85 years, 6 months and 7 days old. She was married to R. L. Sheridan in 1848 and in 1863 they moved to Mt. Pleasant and nine years later to Columbus Junction. Two sons, Win Sheridan, of this city and Ab Sheridan, of Fredonia and one daughter, Mrs. May DeTray, of Aurora, survive to mourn her death. Mrs. Sheridah was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in this city. The body was brought to this city Friday evening and the funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her son, Win Sheridan, conducted by Rev. E. C. Brooks. Interment was made in the cemetery at Columbus City
