page1Frank Storms, a farmer residing northwest of Cone, was struck by lightening last Friday afternoon about three o'clock and instantly killed. Frank Helm Storms, a son of John and Bertha (Helm) Storms, was born July 31, 1884 and departed this life July 14, 1916. Had he lived 16 more days he would have attained his 30th year. On December 15, 1909, Frank Helm Storms was united in marriage to Miss Iva Atkins, of Lone Tree, by the Rev. Phillips of Letts. Two children were born to this union, Hazel Deloris, age 6 and Harold Francis, age 4, who with their mother greatly mourn the death of this loved one. He is also survived by his parents also two sisters, Mrs. Dale Gunderson, of Montezuma and Mrs. Nettie Nichols, of West Liberty. The funeral cortege, composed mostly of autos leaving the house at 1:30 driving to Lone Tree where the funeral services was held at the M. E. church at 2:30 conducted by Rev. Phillips of Letts. Interment was in the Lone Tree cemetery. The Woodmen attended in a body.
