Miss Esther Jamison, a member of the senior class of the high school at Wapello passed away at 7:40 o'clock Friday evening at Burlington hospital where she had been taken early in the week for an operation for appendicitis. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jamison of Wapello, who were at her bedside when she died. The funeral was held Sunday at the home of her parents. Miss Jamison was valedictorian of her class. She died on her twenty-first birthday.
