Robert James Armstrong, a prominent citizen of Morning Sun, died at his home there Sunday, April 30, 1916, after a brief illness. Mr. Armstrong was born in Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania, May 1, 1840, lacking one day of being 76 at the time of death. His daughter, Mrs. L. M. Samson, resides north of this city and only a few weeks ago he spent several days with his wife there. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. L. M. Samson and one granddaughter. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Reformed Presbyterian church in Morning Sun. Interment was made in the Elmwood cemetery.
