Mrs. Ray Solomon, a esteemed resident of Fredonia died at her home there Monday afternoon after a lingering illness of several months. Ina Belle Lupton was born at Audubon, Iowa, September 15, 1886 and died at Fredonia, April 24, 1916. She came to Louisa county in girlhood and was married to Ray Solomon at Fredonia, April 12, 1906 and made that her home ever since. To them one son was born, Arthur David aged nine years. She leaves besides her husband and son, her father John Lupton, of Davenport, two brothers, Henry Lupton, of Rock Island and Jesse Lupton, of Pleasant Plain. For a number of years Mrs. Solomon has been our Fredonia correspondent sending her letters faithfully until compelled to give up the work last fall on account of failing health. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Cedar Bethel cemetery.
