Mrs. John Peters, a resident of Wapello, died early Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Hammond. Mrs. Peters was the grandmother of G. W. Weber of this city. Funeral services were conducted at the Hammond home, Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. E. C. Brooks of the Methodist Episcopal church of this city. Interment in the Wapello cemetery, Sarah Ann Twigg was the daughter of Rev. George and Mrs. Jane Twigg. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, Mary, 1834. Later she came to Iowa and in this state March 4, 1853, she was united in marriage to John Peters. Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Peters, the husband and following children surviving. Mrs. Chris Weber and Mrs. Joe Hammond of Wapello, Edward, of Nebraska, William of Louisa county, Charles, of Greeborn, Minnesota and John and George of Missouri.
