Mrs. Elizabeth Martine Davenport was born in Iowa Territory, now Louisa county, June 10th, 1845 and died at her home near Cairo, Iowa, March 9th, 1916, at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 29 days. She was united in marriage to Charles Davenport in 1881. To this union was born two children, Mary Katherine wife of Fred Feldman of Mediapolis, Iowa and John H. at home. Funeral services were held from the home Saturday, March 11th, at 2:00 p. m., conducted by Rev. Patterson, pastor of the Reformed Presbyterian church of Morning Sun. Interment was made at the Rice cemetery, north of Morning Sun.
