(Ida Kirk) Ida Georgianna Johnson, daughter of John and Jane Johnson, was born January 26, 1864 and died February 24, 1916, at the age 52 years and 28 days. On April 14, 1886, she was united in marriage to William Francis Kirk and to this union were born three children, Melville, Myra and Merle, who with the husband and gather survive. She also leaves one brother, Cal Johnson of Denver, Colo., and three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Cummings, of Harveyville, Kan., Mrs. Mattie Wolfe of Morning Sun, and Mrs. Emma Stenstrom, of Lafayette, Colo. In early age Mrs. Kirk united with the U. P. church of Morning Sun and in 1894 united with the christian church of Wapello of which church she was a member at the time of her death. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Morning Sun Saturday morning at ten o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. B. Hankins. Interment in Elmwood cemetery.
