Mrs. Louise Thompson, a pioneer resident of Letts, died at her home in that city, Monday, March 6, 1916, at five o'clock after an illness of several months. Mrs. Thompson was born in North Carolina, March 29, 1846. The family came to Iowa in 1857 and located near Letts. In 1867 she was united in marriage to Remine Knott. To them were born three children, of whom Mrs. Bell Barnett, of Letts, is the only survivor. Mr. Knott died in 1878 and in 1881 she was united in marriage to Daniel Thompson. In 1889 they moved to Letts where Mr. Thompson died in 1903. Deceased was also survived by one sister, Mrs. Ella Eade, of Muscatine, Funerals services were held Tuesday at 2 o'clock at Letts at the Methodist church.
