Mrs. Elizabeth D. Alburn passed away at her home, after a week's illness of the grippe. Miss Elizabeth Wall was born on March 19, 1837, at Mansfield, Ohio and at the age of six years moved, together with her parents, to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. In 1854 she was united in marriage to Warren Ayers and to them were born three children, a daughter, who died in infancy, Wyman L., a well known Jeweler, of Columbus Junction, who died a few years ago and a daughter, Mrs. Clara Fish, who now resides at Galveston, Texas. The surviving grandchildren of this marriage are G. W. Ayer, of this city, and Hazel, Bessie, Edward and Myrel Fish, of Galveston.

After the death of Mr. Ayers she was married in 1867 to Henry Alburn and to them two children were born, Fred and Monts, at home. Mr. Alburn died a number of years ago. She was a member of the Congregational church for over 65 years becoming a member in childhood. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the First Methodist Episcopal church, Rev. Stilwell officiated. burial was made in the Columbus City cemetery.
