Mrs. Larry Colton died at the University hospital at Iowa City, Saturday morning, January 29, 1916, where she had been taken just a few days before medical treatment. Elizabeth Fisher was born in Switzerland, April 28, 1885 and came to America and Louisa county with her parents at the age of four months. She was married to Larry Colton, May 3, 1907 and to them four children were born, who with the father and husband survive to mourn her death. The children are: Donald age seven, Dorothy aged five and the twins, Merle and Pearl aged three. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Fisher, of Blumas, Canada and by four brothers, John Fisher, of near Cotter; Fred of, Riverside; Charles and Albert, of Canada and four sisters, Mrs. Sophia Kahler, of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Celia Brown, of Palo, Iowa; Mrs. Henry Leffler and Mrs. Katherine Quinn, of Haskins. She united with the Zion Evangelical church at Cedar Rapids about twenty years ago and remained a member until her death. The funeral services were held Monday morning at the home in Union township conducted by Rev. T. M. Balcoff. Interment was made in the cemetery at Columbus City.
