Mrs. Keziah Joy Chrissinger, the youngest of the ten children of Mr. and Mrs. James Joy, was born in Ohio, June 8, 1835. She came to Iowa in 1838 and has lived in Louisa county for seventy-seven years. In 1865 she was married to J. S. Stitt. To this union one daughter was born. In 1873 she was married to J. M. Chrissinger. To them were born three sons, one son, Harland dying in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death three years ago. She has been a member of the Methodist church since she was sixteen years of age. She died Sunday morning, November 7, 1915, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kerr, of Morning Sun. She leaves to mourn her death a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Kerr, of this city, and a son, Chas. Chrissinger, of this city, and a son, Wilbur Chrissinger, of Muscatine, Iowa. Also thirteen grandchildren. Services were conducted in the Bethel church by Rev. A. E. Cameron, Rev. Hankins assisting. Interment in Bethel cemetery.
