Louis C. Bodeker, aged 70 years, a long time resident of Louisa county, passed away last Thursday night, at Wapello, after an illness lasting all summer. He had returned to his home from Colfax, where he spent several weeks in search of health, only last Monday. Mr. Bodeker was born in Linden Prussia and came with his parents to the United States nearly seventy years ago. His people located first at New Orleans and later in Des Moines county, Iowa, but about a half a century ago Mr. Bodeker came to Louisa county and had made his home here ever since. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Ernest Winter and by a nephew, Norman Winter, of Des Moines and niece, Miss Vinnie Winter, the deputy county auditor of this county. The funeral will probably be held Saturday from his sister's home in Wapello.
