Mrs. George Yakle, a well known resident of Louisa county, passed away at her home Friday morning, May 15. The decedent was born in Wapello, Dec. 1, 1874. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Baker. When she was 2 years of age her mother died and she was adopted by her aunt and uncle. Mr. and Mrs Dan McKay. In 1894 she was united in marriage with George Yakle. To this union three children were born, two sons, and one daughter, all of whom survive. Her father, one brother, H. W. Baker, and one half brother, Leon Baker, of Oklahoma, also survive. The funeral was held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the home with interment in the Wapello cemetery.
