Mrs. Cora Letts Maricle, wife of B. F. Maricle, died at her home in Cambridge Massachusetts, Friday February 19. Mrs. Maricle was a former resident of this county and she is survived by many relatives and friends here who mourn her death. She was born in this county in 1860 and her parents were Mr. and Mrs, James R. Letts. She with her husband, attended the Eastern Iowa Normal school at Grandview and both graduated from the institution. She was married to B. F. Maricle and for several years they have made their home at Cambridge, Mass. Mr. Maricle being employed in the government service. Prior to that they made their home at Washington D. C. Mr. Maricle is survived by her mother, Mrs. J. R. Letts, who has been spending the winter at Phoenix, Arizona, and by one son, Paul, who lives on a ranch in Texas, and by her husband. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Ella McCrary, of Phoenix, Arizona and by five brothers, James and Faye Letts of this county, E. C. Letts, of Mt. Pleasant and Arthur and Frank Letts, of Clarendon, Texas. The remains were brought to Letts to the J. R. Brockway home where funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon. Interment in the Grandview cemetery.
