Mrs. Sarah C. Bebb, a former resident of this county, died at her home at Rupert, Idaho, February 26, 1915. The remains were brought to this city Wednesday and funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at the Reformed church conducted by Rev. T. M. Balcoff. Interment will be made in the Columbus City cemetery. Sarah C. Shields was born in Zanesville, Ohio, June 20, 1842. She came to Iowa at an early age and in 1865 she was united in marriage to Evan Bebb at Mt. Pleasant. They came to Columbus Junction in 1885 and she made this her home until fifteen years ago. Mr. Bebb died in 1891. For two years they conducted a hotel in this city. Mr. Bebb is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Minta Spafford, of Los Angeles; Mrs. Smith Lewis, of Notus, Idaho and Mrs. Alvida Fulson, of Rupert, Idaho and two sons, Eugene Bebb, of Notus, Idaho and Harry of Evansville, Wisconsin. She is also survived by one brother, Joseph Shields, of Mt. Pleasant.
