Lewis Miller, a well known farmer residing near Cone, died Sunday evening after a very brief illness. Lewis Miller was born in Washington county, April 1, 1865. Here he grew manhood and made that county his home until two years ago he moved on a farm near Cone. He was married January 16, 1890 to Miss Sarah Eva Davidson. To them were born four children, who with the wife survive to mourn his death. The children are: Mrs. Albert Nicola, of near Cone and Oscar, Leona and Leota, at home. He is also survived by his parents and by six brothers and two sisters. Mr. Miller never was a very rugged man and for the past several months he has been ailing. However he was not seriously ill until the Friday preceding his death. Short funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock after which the remains were taken to Columbus Junction where the evening train was taken to Washington where funeral services were held Wednesday.
