Conesville, Iowa, Nov. 21.- Thursday afternoon November 19th occurred the death of G. W. Emerson at his home south of town. He had just been out doors and hauled in some feed from the field to the barn, and on coming into the house he stood by the stove to get warm. In a few minutes he fell over and soon died without a moment's warning. Mr. Emerson was born June 24th, 1832, in Ohio and came to Iowa over fifty years ago. About fifty years ago he was united to Patience Ophelia Cone, daughter of the late Polas Cone and to this union was born four children, one son, Charles Emerson, dying about five years ago, the remaining children being Anna, wife of S. S. Buser and Albert and Miss Hadia at home. The funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon conducted by the Rev. C. E. Ewing.
