Mrs. Rebecca J. Moorman, wife of John Moorman, died at one o'clock Tuesday morning at her home on North Second avenue. She had been ill with cancer for two years and of late her condition had been very precarious so that her demise was not unexpected. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock in the Methodist church at Gladwin, conducted by Rev. C. E. Ewing. Interment at the Foster cemetery. Mrs. Moorman was a native of Pike county, Ohio, where she was born November 29, 1849. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rinley and came with her parents to Iowa when she was nine months old. They lived on a farm near where the village of Gladwin is now located and Mrs. Moorman's home was there for sixty years. She was married at the home near Gladwin on Feb 6, 1879 to John Moorman. Two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Moorman came to Washington and the home has been here ever since. Surviving Mrs. Moorman are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Boyd of Gladwin and Mrs. Frank Leffler of Washington.
