The remains of Alvin G. Stewart were brought to Columbus Junction Tuesday morning from Des Moines and interred in the Tennessee cemetery. Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stewart and was born in Columbus Junction, November 22, 1891. He died June 13 at Des Moines. Death was caused by tuberculosis and his mother at this time is very low from the same ailment. The family resided here a number of years ago and for some time the father was janitor at the schoolhouse. He died several years ago and the mother was married to a Mr. Schlunz. The surviving relatives are his mother, two sisters,Mrs. Anna Wardwell and Mrs. Estella Maeder, of Des Moines and one brother Robert, in the Philippine Islands.
