Mrs. Elizabeth Beane, a well known resident of Wapello, passed away at her home in that city Monday morning at 5:30 o'clock. She was 74 years, 7 months and 10 days of age. She was born near Pittsburg, Penna., and married to V. B. Beane. Soon after their marriage they came to Columbus Junction and later moved to Wapello where Mr. Beane died about a year ago. She is survived by six children four daughters, Mrs. Alice Myers, of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Hattie Verdow, of Wapello; and Misses America and Cora, residing at home; and two sons, Van Buren and Kendig of San Francisco. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by Rev. C. A. Sydman, of the Presbyterian church.
