Irvin Idle was born in Champaign county, Ohio, March 30, 1839 and died at his home near Cone, June 29, 1913. He came to Iowa in 1864 and located near Cone where he continued to reside until the time of his death. He devoted himself assiduously to business and amassed a large competence. October 30, 1866, he was married to Miss Sarah Lee, who preceded him in death. Five children survive to mourn his death as follows: William of near Cone; Mrs. Sylvia Hollenback of Cedar Rapids; John and Mrs. Elizabeth Berry of Muscatine; Harley and Earl of near Cone and Mrs. Nancy Keeler of Lone Tree. Funeral services were conducted Monday at noon at the Reformed church at Cone by Rev. C. E. Ewing. Interment in the Cone cemetery.
