C. P. Lacey, one of the oldest and most highly esteemed citizens of Wapello, passed away suddenly Monday morning at 4 o'clock. He was about town as usual until Sunday afternoon he had a severe attack of acute indigestion. Deceased was an old soldier and was born in Ohio, Dec. 20, 1843. He is survived by his wife and a large number of brothers and sisters. E. R. Lacey, of this city, is one of the surviving brothers.
