Anzi Donaldson, a well known resident of Columbus City twp., passed away at his home, Monday evening, May 26th, the victim of pneumonia. Mr. Donaldson was taken ill last Thursday evening as a result of exposure during the rain storm of that day. Mr. Donaldson was born in Madison, New York, April 25, 1830 and came to Iowa with his parents in 1837. The family lived north of Burlington until the death of the father in 1847, when they removed to a farm in Columbus City township, where Mr. Donaldson made his home the remainder of his life. He was married 63 years ago to Miss Almira Ball. His aged wife and two children, Charles M., of Wapello and Mrs. Morgan, of Muscatine, survive him. Funeral services will be held Thursday at two o'clock at the Louisa Center church. Mr. Donaldson was a member of the Wapello Masonic lodge. He was also a member of the Baptist church.
