Henry H. Wilson, a prominent and distinguished resident of this city passed away at his home March 14, 1913, after an illness of several months duration. Henry H. Wilson was born in Benson, Vermont, September 7, 1840. He was the son of Alex and Mary Wilson and spent his early life in the Green Mountain state. At age of fifteen he came to Iowa and located in Columbus Junction where he continued to make his home until 1882. He moved to Colorado where he went into the cattle business. He also became interested extensively in real estate and made a big success of both undertakings. About twelve years ago he again returned to Columbus Junction where he continued to reside until the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. L. E. Wilson, one son, Harry Wilson, of this city, two grandchildren, Alice and Henry Wilson and one brother, Wm. E. Wilson, of Glenwood, Iowa. Funeral service were held at the home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. T. M. Balcoff. Interment was made in the Fredonia cemetery.
