Wapello, July 10 - Mr. James A. Leamon died at his home in this city, Monday morning, July 8, 1907, of pulmonary troubles, aged nearly fifty-eight years. He had been sick several months, practically confined to his home, but on the evening of July 4, became much worse, and could not rally. He was a good and honorable man, of a quiet, retiring disposition, and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He leaves his wife, who was Miss Sarah Bates, a daughter of the late Hon. and Mrs. Joseph Bates, and two daughters and one son, of his immediate family, besides hosts of warm, personal friends who will sincerely mourn his demise. The funeral services occurred from the Presbyterian church on Tuesday afternoon of this week, conducted by Rev. Theo. Koopman, and interment in Wapello cemetery.
