Mrs. Fred Crossley died at her home in Columbus City, Wednesday, March 14, 1906. She was the daughter of the late Henry Wadzer, who lived many years ago about five miles south-east of Wapello where Mrs. Crossley, Cora Cyrene, was born. Since her marriage to Mr. Crossley they have lived in and around Columbus City. Her death was the result of pneumonia and complications. She leaves her husband, four little girls and two little boys, the oldest a girl of thirteen and the youngest a little girl three years old. Mrs. Crossley was a woman of refinement, an earnest Christian and devoted to her family. She leaves two sisters and three brothers besides many other relatives. She was married to Fred Crossley on March 16, 1892 and her heart broken husband and motherless little children have the heartfelt sympathy of all who know them. The funeral will be held at the Christian church, Columbus City on Friday afternoon, March 16, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Arthur Long of Burlington and the interment will be at the Columbus City cemetery.
