The death angel has visited us again and claimed Miss Mattie Gravatt on last Thursday, August 31, she passed away aged nearly 19 years. She leaves to mourn her loss a father, one sister and five brothers; her mother dying several years ago leaving her the care of several little brothers who know her more as a mother than a sister. The funeral was held from the Shakerag school house conducted by Rev. Crow; interment at Swank cemetery.
