Linnie Alice Dalton, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dalton, was born near Letts November 14, 1905, and died at the home of her parents on Monday, April 24, 1905, at 12:30 o'clock, aged one year, five months and ten days. Linnie was a bright, lovable child; her sickness extended over a period of three months. The latter part of January she was stricken with ? pneumonia but with careful nursing in a short time she seemed to regain her usual good health but again in a few weeks she took a relapse and later the disease developed into stomach and bowel trouble from which she suffered greatly for three days when death came to release her of all earthly care and suffering. Although only seventeen months of age, yet, she never refused taking her medicine and all that loving hearts and hands could do was done to alleviate the little one's suffering. Her taking away leaves a vacant place in the home which never can be filled.

The funeral was held from the U. B. Church at Letts on Wednesday the 26th, conducted by Rev. W.L. Childress assisted by Rev. Payne of the M. E. church. Though the day was very disagreeable by mud and rain there was a large attendance. Besides her parents she leaves to mourn her going one brother, Emmett, and two sisters, Maude and Nellie, who will miss her very much. At the close of the services the funeral cortege slowly ended its way to the beautiful Letts cemetery where in a grave of snowy whiteness she now sleeps.
