Wapello, February 28 - James J. Ambler was born in Vermont 72 years ago and died at Wapello, Iowa, February 23, 1905. Interment in Wapello cemetery. His wife and two daughters, Mmes W. A. Silverthorn and D. N. Farver survive.

J. J. Ambler died at his home in this place February 23, aged seventy-two years. He was born in Huntington, Chittenden county, Vermont, November 16, 1832. The funeral service were held at the home, Saturday morning, February 25, at 1 o'clock, under the auspices of the A. M. Taylor post, G. A. R., Rev. W. M. H. Cooper conducting. Interment occurred in the Wapello cemetery. He leaves a wife and two daughters to mourn. These are Mrs. Al Silverthorn and Mrs. Durward Farver, both of this place.
