Orono, March 7 - The venerable Charles Emmerson, passed away at his home near Conesville, March 5, 1904. Interment in the Conesville cemetery Monday morning. He leaves a wife, a son and four daughters. Several children died many years ago. Mr. Emmerson had passed the eighty-second milestone on life's way. He came from Ohio many years ago, when Iowa, was in her youth. He is also survived by a brother, G. W. Emerson.
