Clyde E. Duncan was born near Cotter, Iowa, August 27, 1886, and died January 7, 1904, aged 17 years, four months and eleven days, at the residence of J. L. Collins in Columbus Junction where he roomed while here attending school. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. H. K. Duncan, the youngest of nine children, of those six brothers and one sister survive him. A memorial service was held at the high school. The funeral was held at the home, conducted by the pastor of the Reformed church. Interment in the Columbus City cemetery.
