Died, at the home of Ben Brown, Little Earnest Patrick Odle, July 26, 1896, aged 13 months and 10 days. After 21 days of pain and suffering, little Pat, as he was lovingly called in life closed his eyes about half past one last Sabbath afternoon. All was done that tender hands and human power could do to save the little life, but of no avail. Earnest P. Odle was the only child of Andrew J. and Nellie Odle and a grandchild of Ben and Margret Brown. While little Pat is missed more than we can tell, still he is safe. His little body was laid to rest in the Wapello cemetery. Rev. Pool of Wapello, conducted the services at the grave.
