After many moths of waiting, longing to go, Della Sterlin is at last at rest. Her deceased occurred Sunday afternoon at half past two o'clock. Her disease, consumption. She knew her fate long before and anxiously wished her death as her only relief. Her age 18 years, ? months and 27 days. Her short life had been spent in this vicinity. All knew her, all were her friends and all deeply and sincerely mourn her death. It seems a sad thing to lose friends who have lived out their full three score and ten years. It is doubly so to see one taken from us who is just blooming into womanhood as in this case. Della was for some months connected with this paper and we found her always a cheerful, kind and wonderfully industrious giri. The better we knew her the more we admired her for the many excellent qualities that shone out in her daily life. The funeral took place from the Methodist church here at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and all that is left of her was laid to rest in the Indian Creek cemetery beside her father who preceded her to the spirit world many years. The church was crowded to its utmost capacity by those anxious to testify to their esteem for the dead. Her pastor, Rev. M. J. Pusey, spoke most feelingly of her beautiful characteristics; her unselfishness, her ambition and devotion to duty. She had been an earnest Christian from early childhood and when she was called hence her faith did not waver. brave, earnest little girl! Her memory will linger long with hose who knew her best. The bereaved friends have the sympathy of all in this great affliction. Six of Della's friends and companions acted as pall bearers. They were Nettie Gelatt, Pearl Singleton, Nellie Dunham, May Pence, Geneva Duncan and Anna Church.
