Mrs. Nellie M. Ball wife of John M. Ball and daughter of J. and M. Drake was born near Wapello, Iowa, February 22, 1872 and died at her home near the same place June 7, 1893, aged twenty-one years three months, and sixteen days. She was united in marriage to John M. Ball on the 25th last December by Rev. J. C. Willits. This union was short; death came suddenly and severed the golden cord. the funeral was preached in the M. E. church by the writer, assisted by the Rev. J. C. Willits, to a large concourse of sorrowing friends. John LeCornu
