OBITUARY.

Mrs. Mary Ann Harmon was born in Blunt county, Tennessee, January 16, 1822. Prior to leaving her native state, which was in 1844, she was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to James Harmon, who survives to mourn her loss. Six children were the result of this union, four of whom, three daughters and one son, Samuel of this place, survive their mother. Another son, Harvey, died less than a year ago in Davenport. Another child, a daughter, died several years ago. Mrs. Harmon's disease that resulted fatally was hemorrhage of the stomach. She was sick less than a week. Mrs. Harmon had been a consistent member of the U. P. church nearly fifty years. Her death occurred at the family residence in Columbus City, Saturday night in Columbus City; funeral took place from the U. P. church, Monday at 10 o'clock a. m. The bereaved friends have the heart felt sympathy of the entire community.
