Columbus Gazette, Columbus Junction, Iowa Friday, May 1, 1891 page 3

Died. - We are pained to announce the death of Mrs. Will Gentzler, of Columbus City, which occurred Saturday last. She had been married bit a little over three months which makes the bereavement doubly sad. The remains were taken to Washington for interment Sunday; the burial occurring the following day. Mrs. Gentzler was Miss Ida M. Teas of Washington, where she was born and grown up to womanhood. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Wing of the Methodist church, were very impressive. The loving hearts and willing hands of her old time friends, and her school mates of such recent date, gave expression of their sorrow at their great loss, by a thousand tokens. The floral display was beautiful and elaborate. The grave was hidden in a mass of evergreens bordered with flowers. The bereaved husband and relatives have the warm sympathy of friends at both places. Mrs. Gentzler was a granddaughter of the Rev. G. W. Teas, who will be remembered as the Methodist pastor at Wapello in 1855-6.
