OBITUARY.

Peter Lambert, near Elrick, died at his homestead Friday, October 4, 1889, aged 75. He was born in Rockingham county, Virginia, in 1814. He came to Iowa in 1853 and has been a resident of Wapello Township ever since. his wife died November 30, 1879. He was the father of nine children, six of whom survive him. One of these is Mrs. Isaac Mickey of Coacord township. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. W. Cooper of Wapello. The remains were buried at Fairview cemetery Saturday.
